Movies change most books, leave out sections

Just not as good. Prefer to read then see the movie

The book was brilliant, I kept comparing the two when watching the film

I haven't read any of these book but saw many of the movies. Most of the time the books are better because the author can let you see it all whereas in a movie much is cut out due to time, length of film etc.

When watching a movie I am forced into the director’s view of events and characters. In reading the book, I am free to develop my own rendering. Watching a movie after reading the book on which it is based, I frequently feel that the director’s rendering on a character or event does not fit into my own viewpoint.
